Sail-Thru Supermarket Unveiled in Dubai

Carrefour Bites and More will be open from 10am until 6pm six days a week. Though, this is dependant on the weather. People on yachts and jet skis will be able to use the sail-thru supermarket as well as anyone using Kite beach, Al Sufouh Beach and Jumeirah Public Beach.

The sail-thru supermarket will have over 300 products on board including hot and cold snacks, fresh food, ice cream and drinks. It will also have a range of other items such as suncream and medication. All of the products offered at the supermarket have been carefully selected with the needs of people at the beach in mind.

Anyone using a small sailing craft such as a jet ski or yacht can sail directly to Carrefour Bites and More. Those using larger sailing boats can make use of a delivery service. Within 45 minutes of placing an order customers will receive their items.

Hani Weiss, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Retail, explained that Carrefour Bites and More is a world first for the retail industry. He hopes that the sail-thru supermarket will help the company to stay ahead of customer needs and expectations.
